Open Question: Pizza Poll: Deep Dish or Thin Crust Pizza?
Do you prefer Thin Crust New York pizza? Or do you prefer Deep Dish Chicago pizza? **I prefer New York pizza, it is the star child of american pizza. New York is also the inventor of pizza and therefore the better one in my opinion. I also like to fold my pizza and thus prefer thin crust. Deep Dish is too much like pie or lasagna, almost like the traditional "pizza pie". It's more like cake or pie, I still think it tastes delicious but I think that the original thin crust is more superior, mainly because of the social influence; pizza hut, dominoes, papa john's, and the like every don't necessarily serve deep dish and therefore deep dish is more unique, not necessarily pizza... Anyway, my point is that I prefer thin crust, the originator of the modern pizza. I don't consider deep dish actual pizza, I would call it pizza pie instead.
